Project: Stripes Following and Creating Form
Description: Students draw four stripes on an 8 ½” x 11” sheet of paper and are then asked to curl, fold, and crease the sheet to their choosing. They then create a drawing of their manipulated paper, focusing on how the stripes relate to one another to create the form.
Learning Outcomes: Students demonstrate a mastery of drawing from direct observation, applying the vocabulary and concepts associated to observational drawing, and utilize the formal elements and design principles to create unified compositions.
Medium: Graphite or Charcoal on paper
